I should put a big caveat on my above posts - I don't know what the exact product was or how it was advertised. But the higher-than-market interest rates to me point to an investment being made, rather than a typical deposit account.

Once these North Korean soldiers see that there's a huge world outside of what they've been told by Dear Leader... Link to video They'll never go back to North Korea, probably ending up with an unpleasant life somewhere in far Eastern Russia.

My apartment that I had the last three years and the house I now bought each have a middle section with an elongated oval burner for just such a griddle. I just don’t have a use case for it. I don’t really make anything larger than will fit in a regular frying pan or grill pan.

I guess this will be # 188 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_featuring_Frankenstein's_monster A body of 187 films feature some version or interpretation of the character Frankenstein's monster, first created by Mary Shelley in her 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. My local guys: https://www.redriverradio.org/ The national feed stuff is okay for some things, but the news is biased and the nationwide programs often are. Local stuff is usually better. Personally, I'd like to see the guys down south https://www.wwno.org/ merge with RRR. There's a lot going on in this state, that could be recorded and broadcast... Local symphonies, college concert bands, smaller college athketics, high school playoffs, bar bands, live music at festivals. They could partner with LPB and simulcast programs such as the governor's news conferences, local &state politics. I think they could do some more original stuff in talk shows/podcasts working with some of the college communications programs. And the national stuff would still exist. Maybe they could pick and choose. I'm just spitballing here...Trying to figure out how to keep the stations on the air with more local programming with a shoestring budget.

@kluurs said in Contemplating mistakes...: I found a breeder in Ohio who said they would ship some birds to me. I've done that in the past - but have also had a couple of birds not survive the trip - and two others who passed shortly upon arrival. I'm a little cool to the idea of trying shipping again - and it is winter. They're typically shipped through the USPS. Would it be worth it to drive out to Ohio and pick them up in person? Maybe make a weekend out of it or something like that?

Kind of a fun statistic, but I wonder how much effect there is when the lawyers actually present in court to the Supreme Court judges. I know someone who works in the Thai Supreme court for one of the judges and basically writes the majority of the opinion (with the judge doing some editing, etc.). I know not exactly the same as the US Supreme Court, but I kind of doubt the arguements in front of the judges changes the mind of anyone very often.
